 Janet Corcoran Memorial Library
 Read. Work. Relax

IMG_1174.HEIC

Open Tuesdays and Thursdays | 10am–5pm

The Janet Corcoran Memorial Library is a much-loved and evolving space at the heart of our community. Recently refreshed to feel more welcoming and accessible, the library continues to grow as a place for curiosity, creativity and quiet discovery. It also celebrates the rich artistic and personal stories that shape The Boathouse, from local artists to valued community members whose legacies live on through books.

As an honesty library, the space is open and welcoming to everyone in the community. Visitors are invited to come in to borrow books, work, read, or simply relax in a calm and friendly environment. There is no formal sign-out system, just sign the book out and return it when you’re finished, or replace it with another book for someone else to enjoy.

 Children's Corner

A new children’s corner has been created, with all books placed within easy reach for young readers. This area is already proving popular, encouraging children to explore independently and enjoy reading in a relaxed setting.

We are continuing to expand the children’s section and warmly welcome donations of good-quality children’s books that are no longer needed.
