After nearly twelve years, we are deeply saddened to share that The Boathouse Barking CIC has ceased trading and activity at the venue has now come to an end.

What began in 2014 as a dream to create a welcoming creative home by the river grew into a space filled with performances, workshops, celebrations, storytelling, music, friendship and community.

We know this news will come as a shock and sadness to many people who have been part of The Boathouse over the years, whether as artists, audiences, participants, hirers, volunteers, partners or friends.

We want to thank everyone who supported the journey and helped shape what The Boathouse became and hope that you will take this forward with you into the future.
